Farm Equipment & Metal Fabrication

Description

This class starts where Ag Mechanics left off. We concentrate on project planning, welding, cutting, and using a variety of shop equipment to fabricate a variety of small to medium sized projects. These will be a mix of required and independent projects based on your interests and abilities. You will learn to safely use and maintain shop equipment such as MIG and TIG welders and the computerized plasma cutter. You will learn about careers and you can become a certified welder if you wish. Here too, you get to be involved in the FFA! Additionally, an advanced version of this course is offered. Course is articulated through Yuba Community College and Butte College (One- year course-10 units)
