Food Science
Description
This course teaches scientific principles and how those principles can be applied to improve the health of individuals and families. Instruction is given concerning the physical, microbiological, and chemical principles that affect the food we eat. The safe handling and processing of foods will also be covered. And a focus will be maintained on food Chemistry and Microbiology. This is a college prep Laboratory Science course. (One-year course-10 units)
